Nuclear Fission:-the process in which heavy nucleus split up into intermediate size of nucleus with the liberation of an enormous amount of energy is called nuclear fusion
नाभिकीय विखंडन:-नाभिकीय विखंडन वैसे प्रक्रिया है जिसमें एक भारी नाभिक दो छोटे-छोटे नाभिक में बदलते हैं साथ ही साथ बहुत मात्रा में उर्जा का निर्माण करते हैं.
★This phenomenon was discovered by otto Hahn and Fritz Stressman in 1939.
नाभिकीय विखंडन की प्रक्रिया के जनक हैं Otto Hans and Fritz Stressman 1939 में किया।
★they observed that when uranium U²³⁵ is Bombarded with slow neutrons the nucleus breaks into two lighter nuclei barium (Z=56) and Krypton (Z=36) and besides this enormous amount of energy is liberated.
जब uranium-235 के ऊपर एक न्यूट्रॉन से बमबारी करवाई जाती है तो यूरेनियम बेरियम और क्रिप्टोन में टूट कर भारी मात्रा में एनर्जी लिब्रेट करती है।

When a slow moving neutron strike a uranium 235 nucleus, it is absorbed by the nucleus and an unstable isotopes of uranium (U-246) is formed. Which immediately breaks into two fragments emitting 2 or 3 neutrons with release of enormous amount of energy.
